Virgil Marina
I am an English/Hospitality teacher with a Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from the City University of New York. My specialization lies in teaching adults through the application of English in real-world contexts. A significant strength I bring to teaching is my extensive experience in the business world, which allows me to bridge the gap between real-life scenarios and academic learning.I believe that learning is a natural process in which students must actively participate. The role of the teacher is to understand what resonates with them, engage with their interests, and provide them with the best learning tools, so they can learn through their own perspectives and experiences. Furthermore, I believe that grammar should be taught implicitly as part of the language discovery process. Einstein’s words represent in full my method of teaching “I never teach my pupils, I only attempt to provide the conditions in which they can learn” and “Education is not the learning of facts but the training of the mind to think”
